Erasmus Tech Community (ETC) is a student-led technology community at Erasmus University Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. We bring students from different study backgrounds together through workshops, talks, company visits and hackathons.

Always curious. Still building.
ETC began with students at Erasmus who wanted to explore technology together. The idea was simple: bring students closer to technology and the people building it.
From data and blockchain to artificial intelligence, our curiosity has always stretched beyond one technology. Talks, workshops and company visits gave it a place to grow.
That curiosity grew into EurHackNL, a student AI hackathon held on 18–19 May 2026 at Erasmus University Rotterdam. We organised it in collaboration with Erasmus Artificial Intelligence Society. Read the event recap.
AI was the focus of that event. Bringing students together to explore what technology can do has been the thread all along.
Our identity is catching up with our ambition. The rebrand gives that spirit a clearer voice: Build the impossible.
A new board carries it forward, with the same openness to technology and the next idea worth trying. The tools will keep changing. Our curiosity will keep us moving.
Get to know ETC
Erasmus Tech Community welcomes Erasmus students from every study background. You do not need to be a computer science student to explore technology with us. Our event formats range from hands-on workshops to talks and hackathons.
ETC is a student-led community at Erasmus University Rotterdam. The university lists us in its student organisations directory and its Educational Innovation student projects.
